Financial resources
                  For an event to be successful, there must be enough financial resources to
                  implement all event activities. To know what the event will cost, you will need to
                  put an amount next to each of the areas in your event action plan. From this, you
                  will then need to develop an event budget.


                  The following example event budget will give you a rough guide for your planning:

                   Entry fees

                   Players’ fees

                   Subsidies
                   Grants
                   Product sales (t-shirts, etc.)

                   Catering sales

                   Sponsorship cash
                   Other income
                   Total income




                   Expenditure
                   Hire of venue
                   Promotional material

                   Printing design costs

                   Advertising
                   Equipment
                   Materials purchased

                   Trophies and prizes

                   Staff costs, for example, doorkeeper, referees, etc.
                   Catering costs
                   Transport for teams

                   Administration, for example typing, postage,

                   telephone, photocopying, programs, etc.
                   10 per cent allowance for variations
                   Total expenditure

                   Total profit/loss
