Key Selection Criteria
Qualifications and Experience
1. Experience working as a team leader or manager with various groups or learners in
the areas of sport education, training or coaching at national or regional level
2. Anyone who is a member of and/ or engaged with the following:
• Community volunteer at sporting activities for recreational or social purposes.
• Structured programs of varying degrees offered by existing organisations such
as NOCs, NFs, RFs, IFs, Government Agencies, sport centres, health, civil
societies or NGOs.
• Physical education and sport through the education system and tertiary
institutes/ college structures.
3. Current activities include:
• Leading sporting activities at recreational, club or national level.
• Working as an OSEP Educator and consistently delivering and assessing the
required number of OSEP courses annually
• Trains and assesses OSEP courses with a minimum of 3 years’ experience with
OSEP
• Has a high (70%) success rate of completions by their OSEP participants
• Successfully completed relevant sport related OSEP courses.
4. Holding any other formal qualification especially in relation to the planning and
delivery of competency- based training (CBT) and conducting competency- based
assessment (CBA).
5. Available to deliver and assess OSEP Educator training programs within or outside
their own country
6. Available and able to participate in validation and moderation activities when asked
7. Available and willing to be a Master Educator and supervise OSEP Educators
8. Available and qualified to conduct Recognition of Current Competency (RCC)
assessments as required. Collect RCC applications and refer to OSEP Mentor or
OSEP Coordinator.
9. Fully funded by relevant Association/Authority/Organisation recognized by OSEP.
10. Able to participate in ongoing professional development activities and specific skills
maintenance, as required, for the life of their accreditation as OSEP Master Educator
at own cost
11. Available and prepared to conduct designated OSEP courses when required
12. Holds a valid, current passport
13. Preferably:
• to have attained an undergraduate degree from a recognised university
and/or has had at least 5 years administrator/Master Educator experience
with quality outcomes achieved in a sport organization OR
• To be enrolled in or completed 50% of the TAE Certificate IV in Training and
Education
