Specialist skills knowledge and experience
1. A demonstrated interest in teaching/ training educators and having the ability to
research, select, and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools
(including effective use of technology).
2. Demonstrated leadership qualities and experience in leading teams in both a
workplace and sporting environment.
3. Excellent communication skills relating to supervision of others in particular feedback
and conflict resolution skills appropriate for adults
4. Capacity to work independently and be flexible in delivery of training programs and
work in remote locations and/or challenging training environments.
5. Knowledge in cultural sensitivity, and gender equity principles, with the ability to
customise aspects of training to the local needs and conditions.
6. Capacity to establish networks, involvement in professional associations and ability
to access expertise to enhance training materials and delivery of courses.
7. Capacity to plan, prepare and deliver OSEP Educator training programs and
assessments using a range of learning materials, ensuring they appropriately address
the needs of the participants.
8. Effective communication, interpersonal and coordination skills relevant to a learning
environment (including use of technology) and the proven capacity to meet OSEP
administrative requirements for the coordination of training.
9. Demonstrated ability, to provide support and advice to OSEP Educators of diverse
cultures, backgrounds and abilities.
10. Ability and capacity to work outside core hours of business as demanded by OSEP
11. Ability to develop relationships with industry stakeholders and engage with industry
associations to benefit the aims and goals of OSEP.
