                 YEARBOOK 2017

Each month, students from every class are selected to participate in a special CoKoSing project. These projects foster creative thinking,
greater sense of community, positivity and respect towards every individual or group. For 2017, students completed the following
                 CoKoSing projects.

                 March
A “Raffle of Kindness” campaign was focused on promoting kindness and caring in an effort to teach CoKoSing members and the entire
SKIS student body the value of treating one another with kindness and respect. CoKoSing members were tasked with issuing especially kind
students raffle tickets which were placed into a special raffle box. During the first assembly names were drawn and winning students were
                 given a prize.
                 April
“Spirit Week” campaign concept was conducted where students dressed to each theme assigned which varied daily during the last week
of April. This campaign provided a fun atmosphere where students expressed their individuality. The schedule themes were Hanbok Day,
Sports Day, Twin Day, Beach Day and Pajama Day.
                 May
For the month of May, the CoKoSing members promoted Korean Teacher’s Day. This gave the students a chance to carry out actions they
had done if they were still in Korea.
A decorated board was provided, which was placed outside the teacher’s room, and students would stick a note on the board with nice
messages or stories for their teachers. The CoKoSing students were briefed that they should promote the idea within their class and that all
students could participate during break times.
The CoKoSing students collectively agreed on the best design and message that should go onto a poster and to be displayed around the
                 school.

                 June-July
“It’s Cool to Be an Eco-school” campaign concept was carried out to focus on nature conservation efforts, and to teach CoKoSing members
the necessity of protecting our Earth.
Students were tasked to design the reforestation posters to create publicity for this campaign. They planted a plant, which they brought to
their respective classes to look after with their classmates. This was to create awareness on deforestation and the need for reforestation.
