call from the coronavirus. It helped us to understand what a pandemic is like and

what consequences it could bring. Moreover, we were curious about how

something as small as a virus could bring humans’ death. We felt the need to warn

others to prepare themselves against viruses. Thus, to research viruses while raising

awareness on the severity of it, we chose to focus on this topic.

               1. Introduction

Any virus can hold a massive influence on our lives. When pandemic outbreaks

occur, most of the countries are affected negatively because viruses greatly disturb

our lives. Our economy, health, lifestyle, and so on are not spared as well. Most of

the places which are correlated with the economy such as the market or company

have to close down to prevent viruses from spreading throughout the world. Hence,

our lifestyle would be affected. Currently, a virus called Covid-19 is spreading.

People are doing self-isolation because of Covid-19 and everyone across the world

is heavily affected. Thus, we decided to research on the development of viruses,
current state of viruses and how it will develop in the future.

Firstly, we will talk about past viruses. Examples of viruses in the past are the

Spanish flu and Smallpox. In 18th century Europe, smallpox killed 400,000 people
every year.Smallpox disappeared from Earth in the late 1970s. The last time a case

of smallpox was reported was in 1978. Unlike smallpox, the Spanish flu has not
disappeared, but has changed its appearance and appeared again. By facing these

viruses, our method of fighting viruses have become more skillful, but viruses

               evolved as well.

Secondly, we will talk about the state of coronavirus. COVID-19 stands for

Coronavirus disease 2019. COVID-19 is a respiratory infection that first erupted in

Wuhan, China in December 2019 and spread all over the world. The route of
