c. Lack of diverse voices allows misrepresentations to go
                       unchallenged.

                3. Moving the Dialogue Forward
                    a. Strategies include training for media professionals on
                       gender-sensitive reporting, expanding coverage of
                       women's issues, and recognizing gender-transformative
                       content.

                    b. Self-regulation and policy efforts can address systemic
                       barriers like underrepresentation.

                    c. Leveraging social media enables new types of advocacy
                       and engagement on these issues.

In summary, while media discourse does not determine social
changes, it reflects and influences societal perceptions in ways that
can either promote or inhibit gender equality. Strategic, multi-
pronged approaches are needed to realize media's potential as a
platform for advancing inclusive and equitable representation.
