2017. This remains a goal of the committee.
Member Benefits
The Department has assumed the role of prescreening member benefit offers and making
recommendations to the Board of Governors regarding whether the LSBA should offer the benefits
to members. The Department will evaluate all member benefits offered by the LSBA to access
members’ usage and satisfaction. The Department also will explore more benefit offers that will
assist members that have more specialized needs.
The current Member Benefit publication is made available at LSBA programs and events.

and assess and address what services or specific needs they may have.

The Department continues to provide this service at outreach activities.
Increased Awareness of Activities/Events
Outreach Postcard
The Department is actively engaged in fostering communication with local and specialty bar
associations throughout the state. In an effort to receive information regarding activities and events
of local and specialty bar associations, the Department created an Outreach Postcard requesting
that each organization provide the Department with updated contact information and add the
Department to their listserv. The Department’s goal is to maintain information concerning regular
meetings and signature events. The Department is committed to maintaining and regularly
updating this information which will aide in coordinating increased outreach by the Department
and LSBA officers. The Department has an email address, outreach@lsba.org, and the email
address continues to be provided to all local and specialty bar associations to achieve increased
communication.
