WELCOME TO THE LOUISIANA STATE BAR ASSOCIATION

You have made the decision to join The Louisiana State Bar Association (“LSBA”). The team of
professionals of which you have become a member are some of the most experienced, innovative, and
dedicated in the legal profession. With your contribution, hard work, and dedication to team work, the
LSBA will accomplish its objective of serving the public and serving the legal profession.

The LSBA conducts decisions and activities based on and guided by the mission of the LSBA:

 Assisting and serving its Members and the practice of law.
 Assuring access to and aide in the administration of justice.
 Assisting the Louisiana Supreme Court in the regulation of the practice of law.
 Upholding the honor of the courts and the profession.
 Promoting the professional competence of attorneys.
 Increasing the public understanding of and respect for the law
 Encouraging collegiality among Members of the LSBA.

To the extent we act according to these values, we believe we will provide outstanding service and
examples to our Employees, Members and the Public.
