PROFESSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Presented at the Ontario Library Association Super Conference 2017 on February 4, 2017. The
presentation title was “RSpace: A Responsive Institutional Repository That Supports University
Research.”
Presented at the UW LINC Teaching Retreat on May 25, 2016 at Renison. The presentation title was
The Power of Collaboration in Information Literacy Skills Training.
COMMITTEE SERVICES
In 2016-2017, the Director served as a member on the following internal and external committees:
TUGCIRC Committee (University of Waterloo Library): This committee represents the college libraries
and provides advice related to TUG’s Libraries Circulation Services and all other services as they involve
public service staff. The committee provides guidelines to staff for the operation of those services.
LINC Committee (University of Waterloo Library): This committee represents the college libraries to
enable the UW library community to use information effectively to promote information literacy on
campus.
Copyright Advisory Committee (University of Waterloo Library): This committee advises campus
administrators on copyright issues, and directs the Working Group.
Technology Steering Committee (Renison University College): This committee discusses, scrutinizes,
and plans technology projects and decisions for Renison with a focus on continual improvement and
forward thinking.
Library committee (Renison University College): The Library Committee is a standing committee of
Academic Council with a mandate to advise the Library on day-to-day operation.
