            Mobile Academic Integrity Project

A partnership between the Lusi Wong Library, Social Work faculty members, and Waterloo’s Academic
Integrity Office led to the development and implementation of open access mobile AI tools to help
support student academic success anytime, anywhere (https://uwaterloo.ca/academic-
integrity/about-office-academic-integrity/foundations-academic-success). Six AI lessons have been
designed with the aim of educating students about the values of honesty, trust, respect, responsibility,
fairness, and courage, which are the core of academic integrity. Lesson content includes diverse
student life scenarios, videos, and interactive exercises. Students are awarded an e-certificate as well
as a digital badge upon successful completion of the lessons. This open-access mobile application has
the potential to be adopted and used across many post-secondary colleges and universities. The
project was funded by the eCampus Ontario Innovative research and innovative grant.
