Code of conduct

All Team members including supporters are bound by the MAI Code of Conduct and have agreed to
their responsibilities and obligations as part of the Australian Maccabi Pan America Team
Membership Agreement (available at www.maccabi.com.au )

Maccabi Australia Member Protection Policy (MPP)
The Member Protection Policy vision is to:
• Establish and maintain a transparent member protection system.
• Establish and maintain policies and procedures.
• Work to protect the rights and interests of all those persons who participate or involved in
Maccabi activities.
• Explain the rights and obligations that each of them has under relevant legislation.
• Enable Maccabi to take disciplinary action against Team Members who do not act in
accordance with its standards.
• Provide capable and innovative leadership and arrangements that ensure that the above
vision is successfully implemented and maintained in a transparent fashion and on an on-
going basis in a manner that will, as far as possible, help to unite and protect Maccabi and its
members.

Conduct
The following forms of conduct are unacceptable and may result in disciplinary proceedings:

• Acts (including the use of inappropriate language) that disturb others, or cause offence,
disturbance, or distress to others.
• Damage to property.
• The consumption of alcohol by or supply of alcohol to Team members under 18 years of age
and any athlete over the age of 18 who is accommodated with / a member of the Junior
delegation (or the legal drinking age in the Country in which the Team is accommodated);
• The supply, possession or taking of non-prescription drugs.
• Any form of abuse, assault, or violence (including emotional, verbal, physical or sexual
abuse/assault/violence). Police may be contacted to intervene.

Values

Maccabi has 4 Values that define how we expect all participants to behave and act. Our team culture
is defined by ‘principles of behaviour’ which are listed below. Our management team will lead
through these values and principles and will be disciplined in their application.

It is imperative that you familiarised yourself with the expectations so that the Team can function
appropriately.
