• Leave all valuables in your room safe and ensure that your window/s and door are securely
locked.
• Take a photo of your passport and leave the actual passport in the room safe

Personal Safety and Security
• Never discuss security, accommodation details, transportation, or competition venues and
schedules with strangers
• When out of the hotel stay with your teammates – uniforms should not be worn outside to
Games Venues or as otherwise instructed
• We are not the only guests in the hotel; loud or inappropriate behaviour is unacceptable.
• Parties, functions, and social gatherings are only permitted when arranged by the event
organisers and approved by Australian Team Management
• Do not do anything to draw undue attention to yourself or teammates.
• If you get lost, contact your team manager immediately or the Head of Security, remain
where you are and wait for further instructions.
• Do not bring anyone you have just met to the hotel or to any of the sporting events unless
been given permission from your team manager.
• Do not invite non team members into your room.
• Juniors- do not go into room of the opposite sex or rooms of open and master’s athletes.
• Parents/supporters are not allowed into athlete’s rooms.
• Do not use public transport, including buses, trains, etc.
• During recreation times do not engage in dangerous activities

Use of Public Transport
• Team members are permitted to use taxis according to the following:
o Team member must be 18 years and over.
o Junior Team members must be accompanied by an approved adult.
o Taxis must be ordered from the hotel.
o When using Taxi- check, the photo of the driver, rego and send this info to your
team manager.
o Use the Taxi Premium app
