During 2022, volatility has resurged in the markets as global sentiment continues to be hindered by climbing
inflation levels, geopolitical turmoil and new COVID outbreaks in China.

Additionally, data on corporate profits shows signs of decelerating growth, with companies across industries
pointing to elevated labor costs and ongoing supply chain issues as major disruptions.

Global markets ranged widely during May, while a final-week rally pushed benchmark indexes narrowly posi-
tive for the month. Despite ending the month mostly flat, global stocks saw significant intra-month volatility
on continuing anxiety over a slowing economy, the ongoing war in Ukraine, rising interest rates and China’s
         COVID lockdowns.
