away, uphill and into the wind. Moe used different clubs and
different ball flight patterns, and every ball found the green. I
doubt that Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus in his prime could
have matched this feat.
No matter which grip style you adopt, there are certain
elements that apply to all but the Natural Golf grip. It is
important to note here that to place your hands correctly on
the club, the grip size must be correct, and the grip must be in
good condition. Grips that are too small or too large will affect
the swing. Also, grips that are worn or smooth will usually
result in an undesirable increase in grip pressure.
Most golfers that play with right-handed clubs are naturally
right-handed, and this usually means that their left hand is
15% to 40% weaker than their right. This will lead to a
situation where the right hand dominates the golf swing, and
this will be counter-productive in most cases. Seve
Ballesteros and Nick Faldo are both on record as saying that
they feel that their right hands hit the ball hard on the
downswing.
However, this does not mean that the left hand is passive; it
just means that they are more aware of the right hand.
