Grilled bacon

                                    Onion wedges



                                         Ingredients



               2 large sweet red onions
               12 slices bacon
               1/2 cup brown sugar
               1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
               1/4 cup molasses
               2 tbsp BBQ sauce
               Pepper to taste

                                         Lagniappe


               Cut each onion into 12 wedges
               Wrap a piece of bacon around each wedge and secure with a tooth pick

               Combine the brown sugar, vinegar, molasses, fresh ground pepper and BBQ
               sauce and pour over the onion wedges

               Cover and refrigerate for about an hour.

               Grill the wedges over medium heat for about 10 to 15 minutes, turning and
               basting frequently with the left over marinade.

               Serve as an appetizer or with your favorite grilled steak
