Fredonia Rodeo

                            Pit Bar-B-Que sauce



                                         Ingredients



               1 cup distilled vinegar
               ¼ cup ketchup
               ¼ cup apple juice
               1 tsp hot sauce
               3 tbsp brown sugar
               ½ tsp kosher salt
               1 tsp crushed red pepper
               1 tsp black pepper

                                Lagniappe

                Pit cooked beef is a tradition in Fredonia, Kansas during the annual rodeo.

               Whisk together all ingredients and bring to a simmer for about 15 minutes

               Remove from heat and allow to stand overnight or a week is better

               Use as a mop for the meat or serve on the side.
