Living Wall

Rehabilitation of a Green wall system that has not
stood the test of time. Our company was awarded
the removal and reinstallation of a “Marquee” green
wall at the Enercare Centre located in Toronto,
Ontario, Canada which is one of North Americas
busiest convention centres.

This Living Wall measures 34.5’ wide x 13’ tall and
is has an S curve design to it. Planning during the
renovation phase was required to make sure the flat
trays would appear to bend along with the S curve.

Detailed measurements for each piece of 3/4”
plywood was required to create the perfect fit for all
of the trays.

Below: Installation of the trays. Gsky versa trays was the system used to re-install this green wall system into this
space. We have found that this green wall only needs to be watered every 7-10 days. The previous green wall water
was constantly running. Needless to say that this system is way more efficient from a water usage standpoint. The
grow light timing runs were adjusted to 12 hours on and 12 hours off. Following along the client approved plant design
we started to create the layered swoops. This does require trimming & tweaking of plants to create the “round” look.
