UP AND AWARE - 8

Collaboration means working with one or more
persons to create and achieve something, solve a
problem and take decisions.

When people collaborate, they help each

other to learn more than they already know.

Collaboration enables everyone in the group
to think creatively.

Exercise and Discuss:

Form groups of four learners. Each group will get a picture which is a part of a bigger
picture. Each big picture will be cut into four parts.

The facilitator will hand over one picture to your group and you must not let the other
groups see it.

Your task is to find the other three groups that
have the other three parts to complete the picture.

You can do this only by describing the picture.

You CANNOT show your picture to the other
groups.

When you think you have found the three
groups that have the parts to your picture, go to
your facilitator and show him/her your picture.
Without showing the pictures to the groups, he/
she will put together the four pictures and let you

know if they make the whole picture. If they do,
he/she will let all the groups look at the pictures.
If not, he/she will ask you to return to the

exercise. You will follow the same rules again. Play this game with honesty and fairness.
