Think about:

Almost all of us make ‘excuses’ for not doing what we’re supposed to do by blaming someone
or something. We make excuses because it helps us feel better when we cannot solve a
problem or admit our mistake.

Here are some interesting excuses for not doing homework:

My dog ate my homework. My pencil broke.

My father took it to work by mistake. The domestic help trashed it.
