UP AND AWARE - 7
For example:
How do we find out what
a dog’s bark really means?
What would happen to
a bird if it was scared to fly?
What if the greatest scientists and explorers of the world had kept their ideas a secret?
What if you could go to a shop and buy a new name for yourself? What colour is a mirror?
Why does the earth rotate? Why do some people like to eat sweet things and others do
not? Why is the sky blue? Why, How, What, Where, Why?
Top Secret
Not to be
shared
with
anyone.
Exercise and Discuss:
(This exercise may need more than one period.)
Material needed: Two large chart papers per group, colour pens/pencils.
In groups of five or six learners, write ‘WHY, HOW, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN,WHO…?’
at the centre of your chart paper. That is your beginning point.
Discuss, brainstorm and ask each other questions beginning with ‘Why, How, What,
Where, When, Who…?’ You are not supposed to think of answers at this point nor think
if those questions have any answers at all. Think only of questions. Listen to each other’s
questions and together decide on which ones to write down on the chart paper.
