The first mobile phone did not offer internet, music, camera, video or any other features
that we see today. No one person has changed the features of the mobile phone. It has been
the result of many minds working together, learning from each other and developing ideas

from across the world. Teams of designers and engineers have worked together to make
these ideas grow.

How do you think inventors and engineers changed the mobile phone into a smartphone

that we can use to send text messages and emails, click and share photos, locate people and
places using maps, and avail other features?

How many people do you think are involved in designing a new model of a mobile phone?

Carry out some research on the history of transport from the invention
of wheel to the launching of spacecrafts and answer the following
questions based on your research.

1. According to you, which was the most important idea in the history
of transport?

2. Name any one famous personality in the field of automobiles. Describe

his/her idea that revolutionised transport.

3. Think of an innovative idea that can improve modern transport.
