Venice: Fishes & Wishes
“The truest form of happiness is found within yourself.”
Craig and Claudia looked through their Magic Travel Book, wondering where to
go next.
“Hey,” piped up the Travel Bug, “did you know that this Bubble can travel
through time? Would you like to visit a place in the future or the past?”
“How about the future of this place?” said Claudia, pointing to a picture in
the book. It was of a beautiful city of stone buildings and wooden bridges. Amazingly,
the streets were made of water and ?lled with boats instead of cars!
“That’s Venice, Italy,” Craig read, then agreed. “Let’s travel to Italy in the
future!”
At his words, the Bubble began to spin around them, giving off sparks of green
light. An instant later, they were hovering above a grey-green sea where Venice was
supposed to be, but there was no city in sight.
As the confused kids looked around, the Bubble sank through the
waves to the ocean ?oor.
Claudia and Craig gasped—the entire city
was underwater!
“What happened?”
Claudia asked as they passed by
the seaweed-covered buildings.
