New York City: Welcome to All
“Allow the differences and everyone is different.”
The magic airship, lifted by a balloon and
powered with a giant bird, ?ew high in the sky over
land and sea. Claudia and Craig looked down and,
much to their surprise, saw a huge city sprawled
out below them.
There was an island ?lled with silver
towers and miles of streets buzzing with cars and
people. Giant bridges spanned mighty rivers where
even more buildings ?lled every space as far as the
eye could see.
As they glided over a large, rectangular park
surrounded on all sides by skyscrapers, the Travel Bug
announced, “Here’s our destination! Let’s go exploring.”
It ?icked its wings, making two jumpsuits and a rainbow-
colored parachute magically
appear.
The kids put on the suits, and
the three jumped from the airship and
excitedly ?oated to the ground. Then
Craig took out the Magic Travel Book to
see where they were.
“This is Central Park in Manhattan, an island and one of
the ?ve boroughs that make up New York City,” he said.
Out of nowhere came a loud humming sound. They looked up and saw an ORB—a
small, circular object—covered with blinking lights. It hovered over their heads before
a beam of blue light shone out of it, right on the Travel Bug.
