On-demand radio or podcasts have become popular in recent times.
Catching up with what you have missed by listening to a podcast of a live show,
gives audiences flexibility and choice.
Whilst ratings have been traditionally used as a measure of how popular a live radio
station or show is, radio stations are now placing greater emphasis on how many people
listen to their content on podcasts.
Often people only listen to podcasts, so adding them to total listener numbers
has been important when a radio station is trying to attract sponsors.
