Together, we prepare people for work.

Employees who have a break in service of fewer than 90 days will be credited with their first hire date,
in terms of calculating years of service for PTO accrual, upon rehire.

There are five categories of PTO accrual: Full-Time Professional, Part-Time Professional, Full-Time Retail,
Part-Time Retail, and Responsible PTO. Each PTO and Holiday summary can be found on the GESMN
               intranet site.
When an employee voluntarily leaves the organization, Goodwill-Easter Seals will pay PTO balances at
               the following rates:
                   • Employee works for less than one year: Accrued PTO is not paid
                   • Employee works for more than one year: 100 percent of the balance, up to 40 hours
                   • Employees that are involuntarily terminated forfeit any accrued PTO hours and will not
receive payment for those hours at the time of termination.
                   • PTO payout does not apply to those eligible employees on the Responsible PTO plan.
                   • Employees may not use PTO and/or floating holiday hours during their last two weeks of
                          employment.

For voluntary terminations, employees who fail to give a two-week notice will not be paid their
remaining accrued but unused PTO balance.
If an employee is on any leave of absence, they will stop accruing PTO while on leave and resume
               accruing PTO upon their return.

For the purposes of PTO being required to use for all leaves of absence, floating holidays will be treated
               like PTO.

               WORK BREAKS

Goodwill-Easter Seals follows federal and state guidelines when providing employee breaks during the
workday. Breaks are determined by the number of hours scheduled in a day. Breaks of 15 minutes or
less are paid; meal breaks of 30 minutes or more are unpaid.

Hourly employees are required to punch out using the time clock or time and attendance system for
their meal break and punch in when returning from their meal break. Hourly employees are not
required to punch out for their 15-minute (or less) breaks.
