          GOALS - the fundamentals that guide and characterize the business, usually enduring and timeless.  Goals are de-
          veloped to serve and protect constituent groups.
          •      To advance to the highest degree possible the safe, efficient and economical use and application of propane
          gas.
          •      To implement, communicate and maintain an ongoing marketing plan.
          •      To identify and implement strategies that maximizes the value of the PERC Foundation.
          •      To increase membership and membership participation.
          •      To promote civic responsibility among our members.
          •      To be proactively involved in drafting, monitoring and implementation of legislation that affects the propane
          industry on a state and national level.

          •      To successfully implement the annual goals of the association’s committees.
          •      To emphasize safety and education programs to maximize their effectiveness.
          •      To promote participation in the Propane PAC.
          •      To promote transparent terms and conditions between marketers and consumers.
          •      To better communicate with our members.

          ASSUMPTIONS - statements of probable development, which cannot be predicted with accuracy, over which you
          may have limited control and which, may have a major impact on the attainment of your Goals and Objectives.
          They define the environment in which your organization operates, and should be constantly tested.
          •      Propane will continue as a viable source of energy.
          •      Membership will be stable and adequate operating funds will be available.
          •      Propane will remain a competitive energy source.
          •      The need for education, marketing, and research within the industry will continue.

          STRENGTHS - significant positive factors or competitive advantages within an organization which may be capital-
          ized on in the future.  These are the things that the organization does that contribute to the organization’s success.
          •      Committed and experienced leadership.
          •      Supportive suppliers.

          •      Sound financial base.
          •      Cooperative, supportive membership.
          •      Proven ability to overcome adversity.
          •      Untapped leadership resources.
          •      Nashville based Administrative staff to serve the membership.
          •      Employee Training and Education Programs
          •      Scholarship opportunities.

          WEAKNESSES - significant negative factors or competitive disadvantages within an organization, which may pre-
          vent that organization from obtaining its goals and objectives.
          •      Limited resources to proactively and reactively fund legislative activities.
