Samantha Sarli-Freeman
Walking by the Girl Scout Home Days booth, Sam asked, “Are
you by yourself?” Not any more, her Girl Scout daughters and
Samantha Sarli-Freeman stepped in and worked the booth.
The next day they returned for the booth time that they had
signed up for. “Be a sister to every Girl Scout,” role modeling
the Girl Scout Law is what Sam does. Cadette Troop #70082
leader, Michael Goldthrope, says, “Sam volunteers for anything
and everything she can.” Her help ranges from meeting snacks,
supplies, assisting in community service. Adult troop helper
extraordinaire, THANKS for your help, Sam.

Jeanine Gergel
Having been a Girl Scout leader, Jeanine has been able to
bring her understanding of volunteers to her position as Fund
Development Director of GSNEO. She immediately saw the
Wall of Honor as a program to BOTH raise money for the council
for its mission to continue and expand programs for GIRLS and
as a vehicle to recognize and honor adult volunteers who are
so essential to delivering the girl programs. Dedicated, hard-
working, Jeanine has been able to include compassion in her
relationships with volunteers. If anyone can convince the adult
membership they should donate BOTH time and money, it is
Jeanine. It has been a pleasure working with Jeanine! PLEASE
don’t burn yourself out!
