Marilyn (Mac) Sauer

Mac is a Girl Scout through and through. She has served
in just about every capacity there is in Girl Scouting -- as a
leader, outdoor trainer, Troop Services Director, Community
Association Chair, Board Vice President, and as a member
and chair of numerous council committees. Mac has never
been intimidated by challenging circumstances. She played a
key role in the successful implementation of the Lake Erie Girl
Scout Council’s sensitive issues program by chairing the “Stop
Family Violence - Lend a Hand” collection project and in the
writing of the council’s history book “A Promise Kept”. Mac is a
loyal, dedicated, competent and objective team member who
can be counted on at all times. She inspires others to do their
very best.

Doris S. Schwab

Doris S. Schwab has been a pioneer in Girl Scouts, establishing
Troop A, the frst Senior Citizen Girl Scout troop in the world. Her
dedication to Girl Scouts included leading her daughter’s Junior
troop, as well as serving as a trainer, Troop Services Director
and First Vice President of the Lake Erie Girl Scout Council. Her
passion for improving the lives of others continued when she
became founding director of Senior Citizen Resources in Old
Brooklyn in 1971; she served as executive director for 30 years.
She continues to volunteer at MetroHealth in her retirement.
