Susan Sheffer

Susan has devoted her life to helping youth lead happier
and more productive lives. As a teacher, school counselor,
Executive Director of YWCA and Girl Scout Program Director
and Board Member she believed that education is the single
most effective means to a better future for our children. She
offered training on sensitive issues to Girl Scout adults at a
time when the public had a tendency to hide from unpleasant
truth such as child abuse. Susan has a zest for life and is a loyal,
supportive and caring friend. “Live, laugh and love” is her motto.

This very special group of ladies welcomed me with open arms!
I admire not only their knowledge, caring and the dedication to
the Girl Scouts, but also the admiration and friendship towards
each other. Their bond of sisterhood is apparent in everything
they do. I was so honored to work with these ladies, whom I call
my friends. If you look-up volunteer in the dictionary, you would
see a picture of this amazing group. I am proud to have worked
for them, with them and beside them.
