these talented artists, the sculpture class lay the base of
their masks. Attention to detail is essentially everything!
2. Isabelle Slovekosky, 11, uses water to stick the
newspaper on the glue mixture. Isabelle is versatile in her
skills, being both a gifted athlete and a talented artist!
3. Using newspaper and a glue mixture, Nyomi Peoples, 10,
begins to build to the features of her mask. What an
awesome feat!

enigmatic or low-key classes you can take
here at Humphreys. In truth, there's no better STITCH BY STITCH //
Familiar with the motions of a running
place to find inspiration to create something stitch, Angel Washington, 12 carefully sews
extraordinary! for her sewing class, practicing creating
uniform lines. What a valuable skill!
Everyone has taken at least one art class

in their life. Whether it be a standard
painting class, working with water colors,
creating a piece made of old materials,
everyone has taken an art class before.

so much more. Many Blackhawks who are
more in tune with their inner artistic selves
have the amazing ability of connecting
their prosperous, saccharine inner
emotions to a physical body of art,
showcasing the depths of their mentalities.
The ability to accomplish this is one of a
kind - and our more-so advanced art
classes offered at Humphreys, instructed
by our amazing Mrs. Borelli, is filled with
those talented, exceptional Blackhawks!
