In this unit, the solid-liquid extraction
operation is made possible using a liquid solvent 4 11
or steam 16.
6
In the first case, the extraction is carried out
either in fixed bed, with the solid placed in the
baskets 3, either in suspension, with the imple- 5 7 8 12
mentation of stirring 2 by the means of the crane 2 3
4. The solvent can be 10
discontinuously fed from the hatch or in continu-
ous by the means of the pump 14. 15
1
For a steam stripping, the solid is placed in the
basket 3, the solute is then extracted by steam 16
injection at the bottom of the tank 1. The solvent 13
vapors enriched in solute go up the column 5 and 9
then are cooled in 6. 17
The obtained extract is: either reintroduced in
the extractor, either stored in the decanter 7
then taken off either recuperated in the decanter
8 before storage in the receiver 13.The pilot can 14
run under at mospheric or reduced pressure 15.
