The Reality: The New Millennium, Recent and Ongoing Initiatives
 Voter registration projects in Jones, Craven, and Pamlico Counties.
 Yearly sponsor of children to summer camps and special needs camps.
 Sponsor of a clothes closet and provide financial support for the River Club, a day-treatment

program for the mentally ill.
 Provide volunteer staff for annual United Senior Services Health Fair.
 Annual Student Achievement Day recognizing the academic, leadership, and athletic abilities of

area high school and middle school students.
 Annually award scholarships to area students, in addition to $1,000 each to six area high schools.
 Initiated Delta Academy in 2000 to prepare young girls ages 11 to 14 for leadership.
 Sponsor of the public forum ARestoring Your Right to Vote@ with a panel of state and local

leaders addressing the issue of restoration of voting rights for convicted felons.
 Hosted the International Day of Service to bring attention to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
 Initiated the EMBODI mentoring program for young men in 2013.
 In 2016, began the Stop Hunger Now Program, providing over 10,000 meals internationally.

Our destination was chartered by our Founders. Life is an infinite process. Using wisdom, strength, and

discipline, we have the power to create an even greater chapter by continuing the goals our charter
members envisioned 63 years ago.2
