               Light, fluffy, and deliciously tangy, this Lemon Cake is the perfect dessert for any
               occasion.

                  Ingredients
                  225 grams unsalted butter, at room temperature
                  256 grams granulated sugar
                  4 extra-large eggs, at room temperature
                  42 grams grated lemon zest (6 to 8 large lemons)
                  384 grams flour
                  ½ teaspoon baking powder
                  ½ teaspoon baking soda                                         88
                  1 teaspoon salt
                  32 grams freshly squeezed lemon juice
                  1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
                  For the glaze
                  256 grams icing sugar, sifted
                  3½ tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
                  Directions

                      1.  Preheat the oven to 180 C.
                      2.  Grease and flour 2 (24 by 10 by 6-cm) loaf pans.
                      3.  Cream the butter and 2 cups granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about
                         5 minutes.
                      4.  With the mixer on medium speed, add the eggs, 1 at a time, and the lemon
                         zest.
