Costa Rica Dive and Surf is celebrating its 12th season in the
wonderful Costa Ballena. With humble beginnings, our first dive
center was a small, modest location in the center of Playa Domi-
nical. We spent the early years exploring the area, attempting to
find hidden gems within its unknown coastline. Very few peo-
ple were able to describe these areas to us, so local fisherman
became our allies and friends as we dove our way down the
fantastic southern coastline. Eleven years later, with many thou-
sands of dives, countless happy divers, snorkelers, and ocean
lovers, you will find the CRDS family to be one of the most mo-
tivated, kind, and experienced staff in all of the South Pacific.

2020 brings many stunning changes to our steadily growing ope-
ration. Now CRDS is proud to run 2 separate but equally unique
locations, Dominical and Uvita. Our new site in Uvita contains all
boats, dive and snorkel gear, and all infrastructure to run up to 30
divers at once, never sending more than six divers with one PADI
certified guide. Diving and snorkeling are nothing but amazing on
our coast, and we are blessed to be open all year! Moving foward,
CRDS has expanded to include boat access trips to the Corcova-
do National Park and Whale watching tours during the season.

As a PADI Diving Center and educational facility, we not only cer-
tify divers as young as ten years old but can conduct 8-9-year-old
bubble maker courses. We love planning kids snorkel and diving
days as an unforgettable adventure for your families. On the pro-
fessional level, you can go from a PADI open water diver, all the
way to a Padi Divemaster, a great way to obtain work all over the
world! When we began 12 years ago, there was a small handful of
us making CRDS happen. Currently, our roster lists over 22 staff!

From full-time cooks to experienced ICT certified gui-
des, our team is some of the very best in all of Costa Rica.
