               For example: a student is identified with pediculosis (head lice)school

               nurse give health teaching to students , staff and parents to prevent
               spread of infection and ways of prevention (one to one basis).


                      o  Formal health teaching: Health teaching in class room


                      o  Health teaching as support to the classroom teacher:


                      A nurse who has special experience in growth and development
               helps the biology teacher prepare for a class presentation by providing

               posters featuring the growth and development of fetus.


                   o  Curriculum planning and development:



                      Health education can be addressed by integrating it throughout the
               curriculum or by developing specific courses


                 The  nurse  can  participate  in  the  parent  counsel  and  stimulate  the
                   interest and cooperation of parents in the school health program.

                 Conduct health conferences with teachers about students' health.

                 Assist in planning curriculum for health instructors.
                 Give  health  education  to  sick  children  about  how  to  prevent  re

                   infection.
                 Help in planning and conducting school health projects.

                 Assist in services education training for teachers.
                 Interpret and use of the available community resources.

                 Contributing to the health of the family through discussion on home
                   visits.

                 Participate  in  class  discussion  in  occasions  such  as  immunization,
                   comprehensive medical examination and injuries.
