Occupational Health Nursing
Occupational/environmental health nursing is defined as a specialty
practice that provides for and delivers health and safety programs and
services to workers, worker populations and community groups.
Practice focuses on promotion and restoration of health, prevention of
injury and illness and protection from occupational and environmental
hazards. Practitioners combine their knowledge of public health and
business with their health care expertise to provide a safe and healthy
work and community environment.

management
The occupational health nurse may fulfill several often interrelated and
complementary roles in workplace health management including
