Community health nurses engage in systematic investigation,
collection, and analysis of data for solving problems and enhancing
community health practice.
10) Ethics in community health nursing practice
Rapid changes in the health care delivery system have made life
more complex and have provoked dilemmas never before faced by
consumers or health care providers.
11) Clinical nurse specialist
The clinical nurse specialist (CNC) is a registered nurse who holds
a master or doctoral degree in nursing with expertise in a clinical
nursing specialty.
The CNS role is an advanced nursing practice (ANP) role
12) Partnership / Collaboration
Community health nurses help create professional-community
partnerships to assist communities in planning to improve their
health. The goal is to strengthen a community's competence to
interact, develop solutions to community problems and promote
health.
13) Health informatics
Information technology can assist health care professionals to
significantly improve the delivery of health care services
Community health nurses must be challenged to move beyond
informatics and create an electronic community infrastructure that
provide worldwide linkages between international, national, local
governmental and community organizations.
