evaluation of health care

 It redefines the relationships between and among consumers and
health providers.

 Recognize the vital role families play in ensuring the health and
well-being of infants, children, adolescents and family members of
all ages.

 Shapes policies, programs, facility design and staff day-to-day
interactions

7) Evidence based nursing practice

 Evidence based in nursing including integrates the practice, clinical
expertise and patient values with the best available research
evidence.

8) Political involvement

 The most powerful approach that nurses can take to shape the
future is the political approach

 Today’s nurses are becoming more politically active, visible, and
powerful and are providing leadership in health care delivery

9) Community / public health nursing research

 The researcher role is an integral part of CH nurse practice. To
remain competitive in the evolving health care system, health
professionals will need to conduct outcomes research to
demonstrate that they can provide quality, cost effective services
that can be measured.
