Ed Sheeran is being sued for copyright
infringement over his hit song "Thinking Out
Loud." The plaintiffs are the heirs of Ed
Townsend, who co-wrote Marvin Gaye's
1973 song "Let's Get It On." They allege that
"Thinking Out Loud" copies elements of
"Let's Get It On," including the chord
progression, melody, and rhythm.
