Electric mobility projects in Medellin

In June 2017, the EPM company presented the first of three electric buses with which
a pilot test plan will be carried out to understand how to efficiently apply this
                                                   technology in the territory.

Since February 2018, the first electric bi-articulated bus belonging to the
Metroplus bus fleet has been in operation. The bus was manufactured by China
                        BYD company.

The most recent initiative for the sustainable mobility system was the arrival in August

2019 of 64 electric buses from the Chinese company BYD, which will enter the
Metroplús system. This is the largest electric bus fleet in the country and the second
                                                   largest in Latin America.

About 1,500 taxis are expected to circulate on the streets of Medellín by the
year 2021. EPM gave a subsidy of 18 million pesos to the owners, to encourage
reconversion. The vehicles are characterized by being green and friendly to the
                        environment.
