Appendix 1: REFERENCE %u2013 Basic Naming Vehicle Diagram.1. WHY DOES THE DAMAGE ON THE VEHICLE HANDOVER SHEET THAT ISIGNED ON COLLECTION DIFFER FROM THE DAMAGE HIGHLIGHTED ON THE SUBSEQUENT BVRLA DAMAGE REPORT?The vehicle handover sheet is completed upon collection of the vehicle by the delivery driver. It is not a detailed inspection report but it is a required part of the process to record the date and time that you handed yourvehicle over to ensure that you do not get incorrectly charged for items such as speeding fines or penalties. Some items of damage may also be recorded but the delivery driver has no influence over end of contract damage charges and is not a BVRLA accredited inspector. As such, any comments that the delivery driver might make about what may or may not be acceptable or chargeable or about the overall condition of the vehicle should be ignored. The full end of contract BVRLA inspection is subsequently undertaken within 48 hours of the return vehicle arriving at the Arval Defleet centre, with strict adherence to the BVRLA%u2019s independent Standard of Fair Wear and Tear. On this inspection, damaged and/or missing items are identified and recorded by a trained inspector
