                                    Experience the scenery, wildlife and beauty of the unspoilt Isles of Scilly, a relaxed paradise of azure waters, picturesque historic villages and isolated sandy beaches.9 DAYS from%u00a32,699ppDays 1-3. To the Scilly Isles by train and ferry Your holiday starts at London Paddington station where we meet the Tour Manager in the First Class lounge, before boarding the train to Penzance. On arrival, we transfer to our cliffside hotel in St Just for an evening meal and an overnight stay. After an early breakfast on Day 2, we board the ferry to the beautiful Isles of Scilly. Docking in St Mary%u2019s island, we transfer to historic Hugh Town and check-in to our harbourside hotel. Hugh Town is the heart of St Mary%u2019s island, with eclectic shops, ancient churches and cosy pubs. With time to explore before dinner, you could visit the Isles of Scilly Cultural Centre and Museum, or pop in to one of the art galleries or craft studios. On Day 3 we set out on a full-day guided walking tour of St Mary%u2019s, with the option of taking part in only half of the day. Our guide introduces us to the island, its history and local legend. Wandering through the Old Town, which appears to be untouched by time, we pass quaint cottages, granite houses and see the historic church where the late British Prime Minister Sir Harold Wilson rests in peace. We discover Harry%u2019s Walls and the Lower Moors nature trail. Afterwards, we return to our hotel, with time to relax before dinner. Days 4-6. Tresco Abbey Garden & St AgnesThis morning, we walk down to the harbour, for a short boat trip to Tresco%u2019s world-famous Abbey Garden. Entry is included, and there%u2019s a full day to enjoy this wonderful place, a sanctuary for around 2,000 subtropical plants. You could also visit the Valhalla Figurehead Museum to see its collection of preserved ship figureheads, before we sail back to St Mary%u2019s at the end of the afternoon. Day 5 is free to enjoy at your own pace. You could catch a ferry to the smallest Scilly Isle, Bryher, the setting of Michael Morpurgo%u2019s novel Why the Whales Came. In St Mary%u2019s, besides seeing the churches, galleries and caf%u00e9s of Hugh Town, you could walk up to the Star Castle, stroll along the promenade, or unwind on one of the beaches. On Day 6, we catch the boat to St Agnes, the most south-westerly Scilly island. There%u2019s time to get to know this remote outpost, its Bronze Age burial sites and Bishop Rock lighthouse. Days 7-8. St Martin%u2019s and time at leisureDay 7 brings a boat trip to another island, St Martin%u2019s, where you are free to explore independently. With some outstanding beaches you could take a dip in the clear blue waters of Par Beach, or walk along the soft sands of one of the bays. St Martin%u2019s has a great arts and crafts scene, with independent shops and galleries. You could lunch on lobster, pick up a home-baked pasty, or order a cream tea from the tearooms before we sail back to St Mary%u2019s.With a day to enjoy as you please on Day 8 you may like to make the most of the island%u2019s gentle pace of life and the tranquil surroundings, where nature runs wild and time slows down. Maybe stroll along one of the island%u2019s picturesque beaches, or take a boat trip around the island to spot marine life, such as seals and dolphins. This evening is the last dinner of our holiday. Day 9. Homeward boundWe transfer to the airport to board a flight to Lands%u2019 End. Back on the mainland, we are taken by coach for lunch at the Cape Cornwall Club restaurant with breathtaking views of the sea, cliffs, and sky.
