Exploring the landscapes and history of JerseyYour holiday starts at Southampton airport where we meet before an early morning flight to Jersey. The largest of the Channel Islands, Jersey is surrounded by blue waters and golden beaches. On arrival, we%u2019re introduced to some of the island%u2019s highlights including the iconic La Corbi%u00e8re Lighthouse and Gorey Harbour, with views of Mont Orgueil Castle. We break our tour for a traditional Jersey cream tea experience. Later, we check in to our hotel in St Helier, Jersey%u2019s capital, before dinner. On Day 2, we tour the Jersey War Tunnels, built during Nazi occupation. The rest of the day is at leisure and you could visit the Maritime Museum. With no dinner scheduled, tonight you are free to sample the local cuisine. Day 3 is at leisure. Nearby sites include the Nautical Museum and Elizabeth Castle. Accessible by bus is the Gerald Durrell Jersey Zoo. However you spend the day, dinner is served at the hotel tonight. Days 4-6. Guernsey and the Isle of SarkOn Day 4 we head to Guernsey by ferry* after breakfast. Best loved for its beach resorts, coastal cliffs and cultural heritage, we discover its highlights on a guided tour. A standout moment is Castle Cornet, once a tidal island before it was cut off from the mainland. Later, we check into our hotel, where we dine this evening. Day 5 we take a ferry ride to the peaceful car-free Isle of Sark. On a sightseeing tour of the island, we travel to places of outstanding natural beauty while the history of the Island is narrated by enthusiastic driver guides. We visit La Seigneurie Gardens, after which there%u2019s free time to experience the relaxed pace of life in Sark. The final day of your holiday is spent at leisure on Guernsey. You could visit the restored Victorian-era Candie Gardens, where you%u2019ll find a museum, art gallery and cafe. *On some departure dates we take an internal flight between Jersey and Guernsey/Guernsey and Jersey, due to late ferry sailing times.
