               sense, a rule is law for the company.



            b. Difference between rules and policies.










        7. Programmes





            a. A programme is a decision involving a number of activities to be



               performed over a specified period of time in order to achieve a stated


               objective.







            b. Programmes are one time actions, not repetitive. A programme is



               usually concentrated effort. There can be a programme to familiarise all



               employees in the new plan of insurance proposed to be introduced soon



               so that from the day of launch, the offices will be ready to answer all



               questions and to service the proposals.
