            1. Perception





        Perception is an important concept of great relevance in HRM. It affects



        behaviour of people. Simply stated the concept of perception says that what



        one sees is not the same as what there is to be seen.

        Stimuli include shapes, movements, colours, sounds, touch, smell, etc which



        our senses come in contact with




            3. Why do perceptions differ?



               Perceptions differ because of



                   a) Limitations of our sensory capacity



                   b) Inadequate contact with world outside



                   c) Inadequate data from world outside



                   d) Limitations of past experiences,



                   e) e) Our own beliefs and values developed during education and



                       upbringing and later life.
