Summary










              All resources are valuable assets. They are not available in plenty in the


               environment. They are procured at a cost and for purpose. If not property



               used, they go waste and the cost incurred becomes a waste.







              Principles  of  management  provide  guidelines  to  minimise  the  costs



               procurement and to maximise the benefits that they have the capacity



               provide.







              The activities of HRM can be broadly classified under four functions:



               I       Acquisition,



               ii      Development,



               iii     Motivation and


               iv      Maintenance
