Summary
All resources are valuable assets. They are not available in plenty in the
environment. They are procured at a cost and for purpose. If not property
used, they go waste and the cost incurred becomes a waste.
Principles of management provide guidelines to minimise the costs
procurement and to maximise the benefits that they have the capacity
provide.
The activities of HRM can be broadly classified under four functions:
I Acquisition,
ii Development,
iii Motivation and
iv Maintenance
