The coverage for Section A is compulsory. A discount of
10% is offered if 2 covers are chosen whereas a discount
of 15% is offered if more than 2 covers are chosen.

(v) Facultative Reinsurance - Under facultative
reinsurance, it's not obligatory for the ceding company
to cede to any particular accepting company nor is it
obligatory for the accepting company to accept the
ceding.

The accepting company, at its own discretion may reject
the offer or accept only part of the offer. The accepting
company can view the brief particulars of the risk, rates
and terms of acceptance, and the retention of the
ceding company, before deciding the share of
acceptance.

Q8.a) List out the exclusions under Mediclaim
policy.

Ans. The Mediclaim has the following exclusions:
(i) All pre-existing diseases and injuries when the cover
incepts for the first time.
