known as TPA.
"TPA" means a Third Party Administrator who, is
licensed, and engaged, for a fee or remuneration, by
whatever name called a: may be specified in the
agreement with an insurance company, for the provision
of health services.
Third Party Administrators were introduced in the year
2001. They are licensed and regulated by IRDA and
mandated to provide health services. They get a
remuneration of 6% of the premium collected for
servicing of the health insurance policies.
