Miscellaneous Insurance

for example, as in paralysis. The loss of sight of
both the eyes, or loss of two entire limbs, or one
entire hand and one entire foot, or loss of one eye
and one entire hand or foot are also considered to
    be a permanent total disablement.

The loss of sight has to be total and irrecoverable
or at least it should be impossible for the insured to
recognise objects. Loss of limbs could mean
physical separation of the hand or foot above the
wrist or ankle or the loss of use of the limbs
    themselves.

(ii) Permanent partial disablement-this type of
disablement is permanent but partial, not total, for
example as in the loss of a toe or a finger. There is
a table showing the applicable percentage
    compensation for various losses.

This percentage of capital sum insured becomes
payable in case of putting. For any permanent partial
disablement not mentioned in the table, the doctors
assessment would be final.
