         Anatomical Reference Position






         The anatomical position is a standardized method of observing or imaging the body that allows precise and

         consistent anatomical references.





         Anatomical reference position has the The following features:


             • Standing upright

             • Facing the observer, heal level

             • Eyes facing forward

             • Erect standing position with the feet slightly

                  separated and flat on the floor

             • Arms hanging relaxed at the sides

             • Palms of the hands turned forward (ventral)
